What is the IMPACT of our TED Talks when we authentically share Asian-Australians ideas, perspectives, and stories with our communities and Australia?

Here's what our community attendees wrote...

Brilliant speech. Brilliant insights.

Your delivery makes us feel home

I relate to your talk on a personal level

Well-said and a topic which is not told much.

Great choice of speakers - very diverse topics and perspectives

Here's to a better world, and I dare to dream with my eyes open

Your talk definitely  has tremendous potential to make impacts on a wider population.

I hope that others will know of your presence and be together with you to re-shape what it meant to be Asian-Australians or Australian-Asians in a contemporary society.

Thank you. I have also been pondering over my identity and how it changes over time. Since I am a first-generation immigrant in Australia, the cultural displacement is unreal since I don't have a role model to help me navigate the balance of both worlds. I'm glad to hear your talk

Your truth today will encourage others to follow in your lead, and together we will achieve a world where age does not determine authority or wisdom, but courage and mutual respect do.

Inspirational to remind our community to speak up when things don’t feel right. No matter what.

Through our stories, the new generation can have hope in re-shaping future possibilities and reconcile with what was once lost.

So original and brave sharing this!! This is such a nuanced problem in Asian cultures and hardly acknowledged. Thanks, Ish, for sharing this.

It's heart-touching and teaches us the language of love in a creative culturally inspired framework "BAO"

Great talk - I liked how you cited data to support your claims: “We aren’t just tax payers and we aren’t just voters”

A though-provoking message, you showed a lot of authenticity, especially challenging the socio-cultural norms with such taboo topic.

Inspiring message from Daisy, especially her internal dialogue.  It's a common narrative that every Asian Australian has.

Love Daisy's authenticity and sentimentality!  This talk lined up well with the one by Qin Qin, both offering resonating yet unique way of freeing ourselves from societal expectations!

An important message that needs to be heard more broadly: Artificial Intelligence  is not a replacement for the wisdom and intentions of our ancestors.

I enjoyed your talk and reminded me about the little rituals my grandma did with me and now I teach my son some of these.

Thanks Patrick for bringing to the forefront the Chinese Australian footy players.

Congrats on a great talk.  Solid story telling, mate.

I loved Patrick's speech, particularly his micro-stories and how he celebrated different Asian based footy players.  Not mentioned in the main-stream media.  Well done.

I appreciate you doing the hard work to bring these stories to light!

Breakout rooms with speakers were very engaging.

How  can we contribute to shaping the Asian-Australian community?

Question:

What actions and activities around these ideas and issues  would you like to see or participate in?

Another deeper and longer talk on this topic please!

A community movement

Let more people be inspired by her idea worth sharing on the TEDx stage!

A fuller talk will surely let her illuminate the inspiring story and brilliant idea further and create more impacts

I would like to see you deliver this message specifically to Asian Youth

If Christine hasn't already been doing it, she should consider delivering workshops and coaching using the BAO framework!

It would be great to have a Roundtable with others to tease further other views and thoughts

Roundtable to explore taboos

How can we help each other as a community?
